Room Tour explores the room as a stage, telling the story of its inhabitants. Each prop is sympathetic to the character it supports, but what happens when a living room becomes the scene of a house party? Does the set no longer suit its cast? Perhaps an intimate moment becomes more fragile when the conversation next door can be overheard. Perhaps the way the body folds into a sofa changes when there’s no audience.
With subtle nods to the objects and relationships that have shaped Pat’s own spaces, this series of works offers a comforting embrace after the guests have left.
