JJ von Panure is an artist duo composed of Leïla Fromaget and Anastasia Gaspard. Since 2017, the duo has made tiny sculptures inspired by the fève des rois - a small hidden trinket, historically a fava bean and now typically a porcelain or plastic figurine, found in a French King's Cake (galette des rois). The person who finds the fève in their slice is crowned the king or queen for the day and receives a golden paper crown.
Using the fève as a starting point - JJ von Panure create extremely small sculptures - (note the dimensions!) it currently consists of 1,869 pieces. The Panures live in the Paris region and work at the Villa Belleville.
